An ASCOM Partner

The ASCOM Telescope driver for Takahashi Temma is not free. You may try the software for a reasonable period of time to establish whether it is useful to you. Once you have had a chance to evaluate the software, you must obtain a valid registration code. Paying the registration fee entitles you to receive the registration code and to continue using the program beyond the evaluation period.

The registration fee is normally paid in your local currency. The fees for each region are shown on the respective pages for each region.

How To Register

Registration is easy. Follow these steps:

  1. Select your preferred payment method, and remit the amount shown.
  2. Once you receive your personal Registration Key, go to any of the registration reminder dialogs (or by selecting Register from the Settings Dialog) and click on the "Enter Key..." button.
  3. Enter your email address or unique ID (as used to send the payment) and the Registration Key in the spaces provided. It is highly recommended that you use Cut & Paste to avoid typing errors. Include all characters in the registration key, including braces { } if they are present.
  4. That's it! The registration dialog will disappear and the program will be fully functional.

Why Should You Register?

Put simply, if no-one registers this software, it will not be worth my time and effort to support and maintain it. At the time this software was written, I had been unemployed for over a year. I have bills to pay and working on this software is one way for me to earn a crust and pay my bills. Unless I meet the target for registrations, I will not develop the software further.

Target registration level: 25 registrations
Current registration level: 5

Once the registration target is met, here are the planned future enhancements

Differences Between Registered and Evaluation Versions

The same executable is used for both the registered and unregistered version. The behaviour of the program changes depending on the registration status.

  • When the software is first installed, it will go into 'Evaluation' mode. All features will be fully available but a registration reminder screen will be displayed occasionally.
  • When the evaluation period expires, the program will enter 'Unregistered' mode. Features will be restricted and additional registration reminders will appear.
  • Once a registration key has been used to successfully unlock the program, all features will become fully available and no registration reminders or nag screens will ever be displayed.

During the Evaluation Period

During the evaluation period, there are virtually no differences between the registered and unregistered versions. The notable exception is the Registration Reminder screen, displayed occasionally to remind you to register.

After the Evaluation Period

Once the evaluation period has expired, you must register the program by paying the registration fee. The program will continue to operate, with some limitations. In general, most features will remain usable but registration reminders will tend to make things less convenient. It is recognised that some users may not be in a position (or may not be willing) to pay the registration fee by the end of the evaluation period. In order that genuine users are not unnecessarily inconvenienced, the philosophy is to allow continued use beyond the registration period, but to make things progressively less convenient until the user registers. Those users who do not register will still be able to use the program but will have to put up with all the inconvenience which, in time, will probably become intolerable.

Some advanced features may be disabled completely at the end of the evaluation period.
